Community Mercy Home Care's quality care is provided through a team of registered nurses, social workers, companions, dieticians, aides and physical, occupational and speech therapists.


Community Mercy Home Care is looking for a Part Time Home Health Aide to join our team.

As a Home Health Aide at Community Mercy Home Care you will:

  • Help patients with daily activities and provide personal care services for patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist or Speech Therapist.
  • Perform or assist patients with personal hygiene and grooming which may include but, is not limited to: bathing, showering, oral hygiene, hair care, nail care, shaving dressing and/or undressing.
  • Perform catheter care and empty urinary catheter, bed pans and colostomy bags.
  • Transfer patient using the correct equipment, assist with ambulation, and assist with active or passive range of motion exercises.
  • Prepare meals considering dietary restrictions and patient preferences.
  • Perform basic household chores which may include but, is not limited to: washing dishes, changing bed linens, making bed, dusting, sweeping, moping, vacuuming, laundry and/or disposal of trash.

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Must obtain and maintain current CPR Certification and any State required certifications.
  • One year Home Health Aide, Patient Tech or other related experience in the prior 24 months and/or passes CommonSpirit Health at Home’s competency evaluation program as required by Medicare regulations.
  • Successful completion of a competency evaluation program.
  • Must obtain a minimum of 12 in-service hours per calendar year.
  • Ability to understand the written care plans, execute instructions and document services delivered.
