Responsibilities
St. John's Heart and Vascular Center is a nationally recognized program that provides the most comprehensive cardiac services in Ventura County, and is rated among the top 10% in the nation for quality cardiac excellence.
Designated as an Accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI, and a STEMI Receiving Center, we have highly specialized caregivers and staff who provide the latest in comprehensive cardiac care, diagnostic procedures, medical management, therapeutic interventions, cardiac rehabilitation, and screenings.
We have an exciting, cornerstone and highly visible opportunity for an experienced Cath Lab / Cardiovascular Services leader, to direct and support our premier cardiac team. In this role, you will direct operations to enhance the existing excellence and optimal patient outcomes, and work elbow to elbow with engaged cardiologists, interventional radiologists, vascular surgeons and other professional clinical and support staff throughout the Center and organization. You will be a leader who promotes clinical excellence through evidence-based practices, while fostering a healthy work environment in which team-based patient-centered care can flourish. You will oversee staff development, training, and well-being of the staff, and partner with our amazing unit chiefs and other clinical leaders who encourage and support continuous growth in a collaborative environment. You will also manage budgets, allocate resources, regularly assess unit operations, and identify process improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and patient experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (e.g. BSN) or equivalent education and experience and Master's degree in nursing or other-related field (e.g., MSN/MBA/MHA) required.
- Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience and two (2) years of leadership experience required.
- Registered Nursing License (RN) in CA required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
