The posted compensation range of $14.08 - $19.36 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Responsibilities
- Key charges into hospital billing system, updating insurance info, patient info and creating visits.
- Run UB reports from clinic billing system, mark what needs keyed, skipped or code modified.
- Key in late or missing charges over 2 days old.
- Answer the phones for patient billing questions.
- Backup mail clerk and scan EOBs.
- Review previous work for errors, add in updated diagnosis, correct any edit or rejections, and maintain productivity.
- Other duties as assigned by the Billing Manager.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
Experience: 1 year experience performing billing duties at a medical clinic.
